Peter Jackson Comments on Halo Project

Speaking to Yahoo he commented:

"I have been in discussions with [Kong game designer] Michel Ancel and the [Ubisoft] Montpellier team, but there is nothing to share at this point in time ... Each new console amazes me with the graphics, sound, and what video game makers can accomplish," he said. "I definitely see improved graphics and sound as continuously positive attributes for consideration among the Hollywood community. Actors will look more 'life-like' in HD and the sound continues to get closer to the theatrical movie experience -- this makes it easier to provide sound effects, artwork, and talent when you, as a filmmaker, know that the final game will be a strong representation of the film.”

This is the bit that excites me the most: "It'll be very interesting when a filmmaker creates a video game-based film experience that goes beyond what people thought it could be.”

Happy days!

Uwe Boll: Halo Movie will be a failure

The communicative Uwe Boll has commented that he thinks that the Halo Movie will be a failure because of the "hefty budget behind it ... I personally think that with the budget they've planned, Halo will be a failure. I think Halo will not make the money back in the end."

We'll see. As a Halo fan, I'm not too bothered about if it makes a profit or not, I just want a pant-messing flick!

Still No News on del Toro or Jackson

So why write anything?

Good point.

Well because Bungie has commented that Peter Jackson has visited their studios.

What the outcome of the meeting is not none by us mere mortals, however.
